The Growth Process: Part Five – The Joy of Bearing Fruit

Here brings us to the Final Episode on The Growth Process journey. Over the past four weeks, we explored preparation, planting, nurturing, and enduring through seasons of waiting. And now, we arrive at perhaps the most joyful stage of all: bearing fruit.

“By their fruit you will recognize them.” – Matthew 7:16 (NIV)

This has been an amazing journey as we maneuvered this Five(5) part series where I compared the plant growth process to our personal and professional development.

As promised, here are all the links to the past four episodes if you missed any:

Now…. to the joy of bearing fruit- The Final Part.

Fruit is the visible evidence of growth. It’s what shows up in your character, your choices, your impact. But even more than that, it’s a reminder that all the hard work wasn’t in vain. That what was once hidden and developing in the dark is now visible, nourishing, and full of purpose.

This week, we’re focusing on how personal growth manifests in positive change—within you, in your relationships, and out into the world.

Success doesn’t wear the same outfit for all of us. For some, it looks like a promotion; for others, it looks like healing, peace of mind, restored relationships, or finally stepping out in faith. Regardless of how it looks on the outside, real success is always the fruit of inner growth.

There’s no need to compare your fruit to someone else’s. The important thing is that you’re rooted in the right source. When you’re planted in God’s Word and grounded in purpose, your growth may be quiet, but it will always be fruitful in time.

One of the most beautiful results of growth is the desire to give it away. Not to diminish it, but to multiply it. The wisdom you’ve earned, the breakthroughs you’ve experienced, the insights you’ve gained—these are all seeds waiting to be sown into others.

When we share what we’ve learned—whether through mentoring, encouraging a friend, writing, or simply being present—we step into a deeper kind of fulfillment. Our fruit was never just for us. It’s meant to feed others, to encourage them, to help them grow.

So don’t underestimate the power of your testimony. Someone needs to hear how you made it through.

Sometimes, we only recognize success when we see the final product: the launch, the applause, the milestone. But what about the nights you chose to keep going? The moments you chose faith over fear? The days you fought to heal, forgive, or simply show up?

Those moments matter. They are the fruit. They mark your transformation just as much as any external achievement. So celebrate the quiet victories. Rejoice in the lessons. Thank God not just for the harvest, but for the journey that brought you there.

  1. Your Fruit Reflects Your Roots Success might look different from person to person, but when it’s rooted in God and cultivated with intention, it always bears lasting fruit. (Psalm 1:3)
  2. Growth Becomes Multiplication When You Share Don’t keep your growth to yourself—your story is someone else’s roadmap. Share freely what you’ve received. (Matthew 10:8)
  3. The Journey Is the Testimony Every step—especially the hard ones—is part of the fruit-bearing process. Don’t just celebrate the outcome; honor the process. (Romans 5:3-4)

As we wrap up this five-part series, take a moment to look back. You’ve tilled the soil. You’ve waited patiently. You’ve grown, sometimes in silence. And now, you’re bearing fruit—maybe not perfectly, maybe not loudly—but beautifully and with purpose.

Let your life speak. Let your fruit nourish. And above all, let your growth be a testimony of God’s faithfulness in every season.
